Aisha Tyler: "I'm Lucky and Grateful and That Keeps Me Super-Motivated"

Aisha Tyler talks about her work and her marriage.

Aisha Tyler is a true multitasker, wearing multiple hats as an actress, host, panelist, author and stand-up comic. On hiatus from The Talk this summer, she hosted the CW's Whose Line Is It Anyway? while doing her podcast, Girl on Guy With Aisha Tyler. This week, she returns to daytime television in the third season of The Talk.  We asked her how she juggles it all and more.
You've got so much going on. How do you manage everything?
I'm exhausted, but I'm lucky and grateful and that keeps me super-motivated. This year is all about rejiggering my week so that I get more time with my husband, and for me. I've been with my husband longer than i've been single, almost 24 years. We've been together most of our lives.

What's the secret to a successful relationship?

I wish I had a magical answer. But we're best friends. I lucked out with him.

The Talk is back for season three. Who would you like to see on the show?

I would love to have the president and first lady on. Channing Tatum, Denzel Washington — I think he's amazing.
Are there any guests you wouldn't want to have on again?
No. We never have bad interviews. We all try to make our guests feel at home.
You do interviews on your podcast, too.
Yes. I interview men. I love talking to guys. It's unique because there aren't a lot of women interviewing men. It's a very specific dynamic. I've been on a short break with it but it's back in mid-September.

You always look fabulous on and off
The Talk.
Thanks. We have a really great stylist on the show. Sometimes I hire a stylist for red carpet events. I'll get 20 outfits and choose. In my private life, I wear jeans and a T-shirt every day. I like Rag & Bone and Citizens of Humanity — they make great long jeans. When i'm not working I try to live an intellectual life. I'm not that focused on fashion.
Nevertheless, Is there an actress whose style you admire?
Halle Berry
 — I've never seen her not look completely beautiful.
