DaBaby Teases New Music After Being Released From Jail
The past two weeks have been marked with one controversy after another for DaBaby, who was released from jail in Miami on Saturday (Jan. 4) after posting $1,500 bail.
Last week, the North Carolina MC was arrested by the Miami police after an argument between him and local concert promoter allegedly got physical following a run-in with the Charlotte police a week prior. He’s not out of the woods yet, however, as DaBaby will be back in court again on Tuesday (Jan. 7).
Nonetheless, DaBaby’s hustle remains undefeated as the North Carolina MC popped back up on social media less than two days later after his release.
Posting a clip to his Instagram on Sunday (Jan. 5), DaBaby gave fans a little taste as to what he has in store for 2020. He previewed what appears to be a new, unreleased song. Dababy raps along to the Wheezy-produced track in the black-and-white video as he holds multiple wads of cash up to his head. It seems he has more aspirations than just music on his mind for the new year.
“Think I’mma get back to Charlotte and put a 24-hour Krispy Kreme Donut franchise on [North] Tryon. No Cap,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
DaBaby has many eyes on him this year given his monumental ascension in 2019 following the release of his well-received, chart-topping album, KIRK. So it will definitely be interesting to see what his move will be in terms of his next musical offering.
