Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Clothing Store Updates Fans On Order Statuses With Heartrending Post

The update also came with a heartfelt message to the fans that supported them.

In the seven months since the untimely passing of Nipsey Hussle, his Marathon Clothing store has seen a huge boost in sales. Back in May, the flagship store was forced to close its doors after an “unprecedented outpour[ing] of support” in the wake of Nipsey’s homegoing, although the clothing brand kept its online shop up and running.

  • TMC's account posted on Instagram this past Monday (Oct. 21) that they’ve fulfilled “hundreds of thousands of orders” with 13,000 more left to send out. With the status updates for fans awaiting their merchandise also came a message to those carrying on Nipsey’s legacy.

The clothing brand took the moment as an opportunity to express its heartfelt gratitude to the people that came through and supported them “at the lowest point on [their] lives,” confessing that the store almost shut its doors for good.

  • 'We can’t express in words what this means to us,' the note read

“An unprecedented outpour of orders at a time when we were at the lowest point of our lives forced us to get up and carry on, get up and fulfill our obligation to the people that placed orders. If it weren’t for the people once again, we were ready to quit. The store was closed and we had no plans of opening it back up again. It was over.”

  • The message continued explaining that the sudden flood of support “gave [them] a purpose.” There was such a large number of orders that the team had to “quickly scale up production, and find a much larger warehouse” to manage the surge in business.

  • "It’s truly because of you that we’re able to continue during the most challenging time of our lives. Your demonstration is a testament to Nipsey’s (Ermias Asghedom) legacy," the letter concluded in its closing remarks.

As for everyone still waiting for their shipments to arrive, the company expects to ship the last 13,000 packages by the end of November.
