SMH: This Destiny's Child Member Revealed A Disturbing Story After Being Kicked Out Of The Group
Former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson has more than support for the recently celebrated actor Geoffrey Owens amid his Trader Joe’s controversy, in which a woman snapped a photo of him working at the grocery store that resulted in disgraceful mocking and teasing aimed at the former Cosby Show cast member.
She’s got familiarity with the entire ordeal after revealing that she, too, experienced humiliation and job-shaming at the hands of the public when she was dropped from the R&B girl group and picked up a non-Hollywood-affiliated occupation.
Roberson said on Twitter that her first post-Destiny’s Child job was at a record shop
She secured the position right in her Houston hometown; Acres Homes to be exact. Word must have got out that she was working there, and she recollected people coming to the store just to satisfy their burning curiosity about whether Roberson (of the Destiny’s Child) was really shuffling discs at a record store.
“However; I still had to feed my family and survive,” she said. “So [clapping hand emojis] to him for not giving up!!!!!”
Afterward, it seems that the haters must have trolled their way over to her mentions…
