Migos stunned fans at the Powerhouse concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when they announced they had a new single from their Culture 2 project that featured both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. And only a few hours after dropping that huge bombshell, The Breakfast Club debuted the explosive collab, entitled "Motor Sport," on their Oct. 27 edition of the morning show. And lo and behold, both New York femcees killed their verses.

At first listen, the song probably sounds like anything you’d expect to hear from the trap trio. That is, until Cardi hopped in around the second or third verse. With her signature raspy flow, the Bronx native came in aggressively, dropping a line about her relationship with Offset and even dubbing herself the “Trap Selena” (a reference to Latina sensation Selena Quintanilla). It was a bit of a departure from her No. 1 single “Bodak Yellow,” but definitely kept her name in the discussion.

Nicki followed Cardi with a more relaxed flow, but she still delivered some hard-hitting lines regarding her years of consistency in the game and, of course, something raunchy for her Barbz.

It definitely comes as a shock to many fans, who never thought they’d hear the two women collab so soon. Earlier in the year, there were rumors of a possible rap beef blossoming between the two, although both Cardi and Nicki denied the allegations. They later put that to rest when Nicki publicly congratulated Cardi on making history on the Billboard charts.

Despite the constant chatter, it seems that most fans are no longer interested in pitting the two against each other. Instead, following the single’s release, fans praised both artists for their stellar bars and even suggested the two complement each other.
