Wait, What?! Jada Pinkett-Smith Reveals She Dated One Of Will’s Co-Stars And You’ll Never Believe Who
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith may be the reflection of marital bliss almost 21 years after saying "I do," but that was not always the case.
The actress-turned-talk show host recently opened up about her initial desire to never marry during the reboot of her popular Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, and, in the process, randomly shared that she once dated one of her now husband's most notable former co-stars.
According to theJasmineBRAND, during the episode, while speaking with her husband, Will, about their romantic journey, Jada shared that she actually dated his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Alfonso Ribeiro.
While beginning to share the story of how he and Jada met, Will started, "I remember, you were on A Different World, and Alfonso knew everybody."
Jada then interjected, "I actually think I dated Alfonso," to which Will added, "You went on a date with Alfonso, yes. And he took you on a motorcycle or something."
Since nothing clearly came of that brief moment, the actress did not go into more detail about it, but, instead, went on to share some surprising details about her marriage to the Concussion star.
The actress revealed that she never wanted to marry and hated her 1997 wedding.
"I just knew I never wanted to be married," she said. Pinkett-Smith, who was pregnant during their wedding ceremony, opened up about how her pregnancy impacted their big day. "My first trimester was horrible. And I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so p***ed. I went crying down the freaking aisle, I cried the whole way down the aisle."
The mother of two explained exactly why she never wanted to tie the knot.
"I just never really agreed with the construct [of marriage]. I just don't agree with it. I still don't. Til death do us part is real for me, but all of the rules and all of the ideas. This title "wife," the accepted conventional definition of wife in the paradigm - I'm not that," she added.
Throughout the lengthy chat, the couple recounted their first meeting and shared some of the most trying times of their two-decade long marriage.
