Racist Or Nah? Niecy Nash Claims She Was Uninvited From This A-List Event Because She's Black
Niecy Nash recently took to social media where she put the host of a major A-list event on blast for allegedly uninviting her to the get together because of the color of her skin.
The Claws star, in a couple of tweets, explained that she was personally invited to the annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers Polo Club in Los Angeles by the founder of The A List, Ashlee Margolis, which is known for hosting exclusive events for major brands.
She later claimed, however, that her invitation was rescinded on the day of the event.
"My invite was rescinded bcuz I was the wrong caliber of guest," she tweeted. "2x Emmy nominee. Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, #1 summer show Claws. NOT white. Let's see who makes the cut... smh."
The actress went on to add that she will no longer be supporting the Veuve Clicquot brand following this incident.
"I wouldn't come to your event if you paid me," she continued. "Wait u wouldn't. I'm not white."
Her tweets have since been deleted:
While Nash claims she was uninvited from the event due to her race, theJasmineBRAND.com noted that other Black celebrities were present including Rosario Dawson, Harold Perrineau and former chief brand officer of Uber, Bozoma Saint John.
