No One Was Ready To See MAGA Hat-Wearing Dennis Rodman Cry Over Trump And Kim Jong Un Meeting
In today's episode of "Do Not Adjust Your TV," former NBA star Dennis Rodman became tearfully overwhelmed with emotion on CNN while discussing Donald Trump's meeting with Kim Jong Un.
The NBA Hall of Famer was live with CNN's Chris Cuomo when he began crying tears of joy (?) in response to the meeting of Trump and Kim Jong Un.
While wearing an unmistakable red “Make America Great Again” hat, Rodman talked about his first trip to North Korea and his quirky friendship with Kim Jong Un.
Halfway through the 20-minute interview, Rodman began to cry.
Rodman expressed his admiration for Kim Jong Un, whom he doesn't consider a dictator even though Kim reportedly had his own half-brother killed
Before the legacy meeting between Trump and Kim, Rodman traveled to Singapore for the summit.
When asked about his questionable travels to North Korea, Rodman admitted to "falling in love" with the people and culture of North Korea and described Kim as "a good friend."
"This guy wants to be around the world," Rodman said. "He wants to come to America and enjoy his life. He wants his people to enjoy this life."
On 'Good Morning America,' Rodman also discussed how he wanted Barack Obama to meet with Kim in the past
"Obama just pretty much blew me off and thought that I was a laughingstock," Rodman said when discussing his first attempt to get then President Barack Obama to meet with Kim Jong Un.
Rodman's tears of elation were met by every confused face emoji that Twitter could handle
