Meek Mill Debuts "Amen" Video on 106 & Park
Meek Mill is on a winning streak. The Philly spitter released his acclaimed mixtape, Dreamchasers 2, in May—garnering so much buzz it crashed mixtape download site DatPiff. Last month, he co-headlined Maybach Music Group's new compilation album, Self Made 2, one of the most anticipated releases of the year. And on Monday Mill brought the hype to a new level, by debuting the video for his hit "Amen" in front of the Livest Audience on 106 & Park.
The song's been the subject of some serious controversy recently. Last week, Philadelphia's Revered Jomo K. Johnson called for a boycott of "Amen," calling its juxtaposition of religious imagery and less-than-holy subject matter blasphemous. Meek confronted Johnson in a radio interview last week, claiming the reverend was only attacking him to make headlines.
It's only increased anticipation for the video for "Amen," which Meek unveiled on BET. Did you watch? Be sure to let us know what you think of the video and the controversy surrounding "Amen" in the comments section below.
