Kodak Black Is Free, Pens Post-Prison Message Amid Sex Assault Case
Despite Kodak Black’s impending South Carolina sexual assault case, the 19-year-old budding rap star from Florida seems to still be holding his head up.
Black posted $100,000 bond Thursday (Dec. 1) from jail, and seemed all the more cheerful for the new slice of freedom. Penning a letter via Instagram to his close family, friends and fans, Black is seen in the photo with one of his golden-grilled toothy smiles as he’s surrounded by what appears to be members of his team.
“I'm happy to finally be going home to my family and friends,” Black begins. “I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future.”
Sending love to his family, friends, legal supporters and members from his Atlantic Records label, he adds that despite the legal troubles, he’s not gone from the music scene just yet.
“I can't wait to get back to doing what I love most — working at being the illest rapper alive.”
The alleged victim, new information reveals, was a fan attending his February concert. The charge carries a maximum of 30 years behind bars if found guilty.
No further information about the alleged victim has been released.
