Boosie Demands Reparations For Black Americans: ‘Where Our F***ing Money At?’
The topic of reparations for Black Americans is a subject that has come up often throughout political discourse, even more in the leadup to the 2020 election.
The sentiment that Black Americans are owed reparations as recompense for their past state-ordained bondage that built the U.S. into what it is today has been endorsed or addressed in varying degrees by several former and current presidential candidates, including Elizabeth Warren and Tom Seyer.
Baton Rouge rapper Boosie BadAzz weighed in with his thoughts on the matter via Instagram. On Tuesday (Feb. 25), Boosie posted a lengthy, expletive-laden three-page letter on his page about a recent revelation he had pertaining reparations.
“Bra, our people deserve money like the d**n Indians get. We got completely murdered [and] fucked over by this nation. Every time we got successful, they hung us. Do y'all know about Greenwood, Black Wall Street and how they did us? Bra I'm pissed,” he wrote on the first page. “Where the f**k our money at? Our wealth [and] lives was taken from us for any [and] everything, especially our bizness men [and] women."
He then wondered why no president has yet to put forth legislation that would mandate Black people “be compensated forever.” Moreover, Boosie wondered why this “has this never been an issue at any presidential rally, etc?”
“Have we forgotten? Do leaders feel we deserved it? Millions of Black lives taken [and] ‘Black Wealth’ just stripped [from us], which have affected us till this day financially [and] emotionally. ” he continued in the second post, adding that “Black [people] in this country still get no f***ing respect [or] love.”
His last slide was directly addressed to any politician that may come across his words.
“Democrats, Republicans, presidents etc...do u give a f**k [about] what we been through? Political Blacks who [are [in] power, why haven't yo a** spoke up about our race being compensated? I guess yall dont give a f**k cause yall [straight] now,” he surmised. However, he still wants to know “where our f***ing money at?”
