Drake and Kendrick Lamar Were Apparently Very Close to an All-Out Beef
Drake and Kendrick Lamar almost got into an epic beef.
That’s what Marcellus Wiley is claiming, at least. During a recent episode of ESPN 710AM’s Max and Marcellus, Wiley and guest host Kelvin Washington got into a discussion about the two rappers and it prompted a crazy tale of what almost was.
After discussing the pair's emceeing prowess and the Drake/Meek Mill beef, the former NFL player turned TV/radio host spilled some beans.
“I can’t say what I wanna say, but I’m gonna say it anyways because my contract is up and this might give me more money,” Wiley explained. “All I know is there was a beef, and all I know is I was witness to when the beef would have ignited to proportions we have not seen since Ja Rule/50, maybe even Ice Cube/N.W.A. Like it went there. But that was destroyed from everyone’s property. That was destroyed, that interview, that moment was destroyed. That’s all I’m gonna say. But I was there and I heard the shots fired.”
Wow. Hints of Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef have surfaced in the past, so this recent potential bombshell isn’t anything super surprising. Wiley made sure to explain that his account of what happened was one-sided, as whoever was the target wasn’t there at the time. He also said that the team of the artist who was interviewed wouldn’t let the story go public.
