Man Jumps Out of Moving Car During Argument With Drunk Girlfriend And Is Killed By Oncoming Vehicle
A man in Queens was killed by an oncoming vehicle after getting into an argument with his inebriated girlfriend and jumping out of her car on the Grand Central Parkway on Saturday.
According to New York police, Arif Hoosein, 30, was in the passenger seat of a Mercedes Sedan while his girlfriend, 34-year-old Savittrie Beria-Lackhan, was driving the car. Around 3:45 a.m., the two began to argue and Hoosein fled the vehicle, PIX11 reports.
After Hoosein left the car, he was struck by a Nissan Sentra.
Hoosein was rushed to nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He suffered severe injuries to his head and body.
"The family is in deep shock," Hoosein's uncle Mahmoud told PIX11. Hoosein died just days before his 31st birthday.
The driver of the Nissan, 39, remained on scene has not been charged.
Beria-Lackhan was taken into police custody and faces DWI charges.
