Chicago Rapper Gzus Piece Arrested for Trafficking Heroin
Chicago rapper Gzus Piece started off the New Year behind bars on two very serious drug charges, Complex reports. The 28-year-old, whose birth name is Gerik V. Raglin, was arrested in Ohio on Jan. 1, for allegedly trafficking heroin.
State troopers stopped Gzus Piece on the Ohio Turnpike at 11:54 p.m., driving a 2015 Buick Verano with New York tags, a report on the Ohio State Patrol website says. Unspecified “criminal indicators” led to authorities searching the vehicle and seizing 103 grams of heroine worth $15,450. The drugs were found in the trunk of the car.
He was taken to the Wood County jail on possession and trafficking of heroin, both felony charges. Bail was set at $300,000.
Gzus Piece is a member of the Treated Crew collective that includes Kanye West’s former touring DJ Million Dollar Mano. He made his first court appearance Thursday (Jan. 8) and will be “transferred to Illinois to fight the case,” according to Mano.
