The Michael Jackson tribute concert is just two weeks away, and the much talked about event has just attracted a new superstar act to round out its bill. The Black Eyed Peas have announced that they will be taking the stage at Michael Forever, joining an already star-studded lineup that includes Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Cee Lo, Jamie Foxx, Gladys Knight, Ne-Yo, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis and a special performance by Beyoncé via satellite.
The concert will take place October 8 at the Millennium Amphitheater in Cardiff, Wales. Since it was announced, the event has been the subject of some controversy, attracting criticism from Michael's estate as well as his brothers Jermaine and Randy due to timing and management issues.

 The manslaughter trial of Michael's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, begins September 27 and is expected to be ongoing during the event. In a statement, Janet Jackson declined to attend Michael Forever.
"Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me," she said.
Michael's mother, Katherine, and his siblings La Toya, Tito and Jackie have all gotten behind the concert. In a statement, Will.i.Am, who worked with the pop legend in the years leading up to his death, explained why his band leapt at the opportunity to pay homage.
"One day about four years ago, with The Black Eyed Peas well established, I got a call from him I will never forget. I then had the great privilege of working with him and getting to know him and his beautiful family," he recalled. "That's why The Black Eyed Peas wouldn't miss being at the Millennium Stadium for this gig on October 8th: we all owe Michael such a lot."
