The 'Bad Boys' Franchise Shares Even More Exciting News
Back in August, we reported the exciting news that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be returning to the big screen for the third installment of their incredibly-successful Bad Boys franchise.
Originally slated for a 2017 release, Sony has since updated fans that the movie will be pushed back to a later date, debuting on January 12, 2018. Not only that, but it also appears as though the critically acclaimed duo has signed on to star in a fourth film together.
As recently announced by Sony, the film, titled Bad Boys 4, will kick off Memorial Day weekend, premiering in theaters on May 24, 2019.
Airing in April 1995, the first movie raked in an impressive $141.4 million at the box office. Eight years later, its follow-up hit theaters, making an even-more impressive $273.3 million. Needless to say, it is a wise decision across the board to keep building onto the franchise's legacy and entertaining a loyal audience along the way.
With not only one, but two, Bad Boys films hitting theaters in the years ahead, fans of the action-packed comedy have much to look forward to.
