One Oklahoma couple’s Easter meal came with an added surprise.

Andrew and Chelsea Belflower of Midwest City were shocked to find the head and a leg of a small mouse as they poured out cans of Best Choice green beans while preparing an Easter meal for their church’s potluck.

“We started opening them and putting them in the crock pot and by about the fourth can something dumped out,” Chelsea recalled.

Andrew noticed something black in the green beans and told his wife, “That’s not normal,” before picking it up and throwing it back down when he realized it was the head of a mouse.

“It’s really kind of grotesque,” Andrew added.

Best Choice pulled all of its green beans off Oklahoma store shelves while it investigates the Belflower’s claims.
