See The Fashion Line Danielle Brooks Is Designing For All The BBWs Around The World
Orange Is The New Black star Danielle Brooks is taking her skills outside of prison, well acting, and jumping into the fashion world.
Brooks shared on Instagram that she would be collaborating with Universal Standard to design the brand’s new Tria collection. The Universal Standard brand prides itself on “breaking” the plus-size fashion industry and making “quality, elevated essentials” for curvy girls size 10-28.
The Tria collection is a series that the brand has being doing and Danielle’s designs will be the second round in which collaborations are stemmed from the question, “If you could design three pieces that you always wished you had in your closet, but could never find, what would they be?”
Danielle’s collection will be released in November, in which the maroon off–the-shoulder sweater dress and white classic button up Brooks where’s in her Insta post will be shop-able. The actress is very excited about her first embarkment in the fashion industry and partnership with Universal Standard stating that the brand is “truly one of a kind” and “what makes them unique is that they are pushing the 67% (plus population) to be a part of the whole.”
Excited to see what’s to come. As Danielle says, “For now, stay tuned!”
