Debra L. Lee Receives YWCA Media Visionary Award
Debra Lee, CEO and Chairwomen of BET Networks was honored last night in LA by the YWCA Greater Los Angeles at their annual Rhapsody Gala in Beverly Hills.
Honored with the Media Visionary Award for her outstanding leadership of the global brand for over 30 years, Lee was presented with the honor by the star of BET's Chasing Destiny, Kelly Rowland.
The event also recognized Tracy Underwood, National Manager of Toyota’s pioneering social impact division, and Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas who was honored as Man of the Year.
In attendance at this year’s awards gala was Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, who was recently named YWCA GLA's Advisory Commissioner, actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Tichina Arnold and a host of others.
