Kanye West Speaks on Leaked Nude Photos
Kanye West isn't too concerned with those nude photos that leaked online earlier this week.
The rapper/producer addressed the photos during an interview with Funkmaster Flex on New York's Hot 97 last night (November 2).
Have you heard the first line of 'Runaway,'" Yeezy joked, referring to lyrics in which he confesses to e-mailing nude pics to a woman. "I mean it's a reality, I only rap reality. I went to the internet. You know, I'm looking at my Twitter, I just go to mentions and see what people talk about. They had the link, I went to it. You cannot imagine how disappointed I was that I got cut off.
West also told Flex what Taylor Swift said to him when the two finally got to speak in person. "She just talked about how people would come up to her at the grocery store and really just bring it up and she would defend me," Kanye revealed. "It's an amazing, compelling situation. The situation to me is bigger than the Bush moment, it's bigger than a lot of things.
The Louis Vuitton Don also addressed a diss by former collaborator, Cam'Ron. The Dipset rapper recently jacked 'Ye's "Runaway" instrumental and called him a "sucker" for leaving Dame Dash. West says he heard of the song, but didn't listen to it.
It's kinda like when Jay-Z did 'Death of Auto-Tune,' it was a necessary moment," West explained. "It's people that completely don't agree with anything that I'm doing, but I agree with it so I'ma keep doing it. And I think what makes that such a great hip-hop moment is that you have to be expressive. Don't think about the political, whether or not I can do a beat for you, or what that would mean. No, just express how you feel.
People are not gonna agree with everything I do," he added. "I look back at some of the stuff I do and don't agree with it. If I made a diss record on myself, I would kill me. I'd be extremely good at it.
Kanye also said he still speaks to Dame Dash, brushed off Kim Kardashian romance rumors and said the discrimination scenes in "Runaway" definitely were inspired by his relationship with Amber Rose.
Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" is set to hit stores November 22.
