Pebbles Files New Lawsuit Over TLC Biopic
TLC's Perri "Pebbles" Reid is once again speaking out against the much-talked-about biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. According to TMZ, former manager Pebbles's lawsuit claims the VH1 original movie assassinated her character by portraying her as a liar and a cheat, when she was quite the opposite. The former wife of record executive L.A. Reid states she invested both her time and money into the girls, helping to create one of the best-selling female groups in music history.
The lawsuit states the movie falsely portrayed her as pressuring Chilli into getting an abortion, pushing T-Boz to put the group ahead of her health, and dividing $25 a week among all three girls.
Collectively, Pebbles is suing for $40 million due to her reputation being "destroyed." No comment from T-Boz or Chilli ... yet.
