T.I. Sets a Date for Trouble Man
Trouble is coming September 4.
That's when T.I. plans to release his highly anticipated eighth album, Trouble Man. The King of the South revealed the news during an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez yesterday [May 15].
"September 3 is the premiere of season two [of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle] and September 4 is the release of Trouble Man," T.I. said, outlining a double feature strategy. "Coincidence, I think not."
T.I. also premiered a new single from the album, "Like That." Previous singles include "Hear Ye, Hear Ye" and "I'm Flexin'" featuring Big K.R.I.T.
Since completing his last stint in federal prison last September, Tip has been pretty busy on several fronts. Musically, the Grand Hustle boss has become a mentor to upstart rapper Iggy Azalea, he executive produced B.o.B’s sophomore album, Strange Clouds, and released his own mixtape F--- Da City Up in January.
While the success of his reality show T.I. & Tiny Family Hustle earned him a second season, Tip will also be busy building his resume as an actor with several upcoming roles. There is also the possibility that he could continue in his role as a writer after the release of his first book, Power & Beauty, last October.
