Kevin Clash Gets Sued by Fourth Accuser
Kevin Clash is now facing accusations from a fourth man who claims the Sesame Street performer flew him across state lines to engage in underage sexual relations. According to TMZ, the accuser who filed the lawsuit in New York Federal Court under the name John Doe claims he met Clash circa 1995 or 1996 in Miami Beach. Doe maintains he was 16 or 17 and Clash was in his mid-30s and that the Elmo performer flew him out to New York City, gave him money and a place to stay. During this trip, the accuser says he and Clash engaged in sexual relations several times.
In the lawsuit, Doe says he suffered tremendous emotional, mental and psychological damage as a result of the relationship.
Doe’s attorney, Jeff Herman, told TMZ, “According to our lawsuit, Kevin Clash knowingly paid to transport a minor across state line for the purpose of satisfying his sexual interests.”
So far Clash has only responded to the allegations from the first accuser, Sheldon Stephens, with whom he negotiated a settlement. Stephens later sought to reverse the agreement. Clash has had no official comment on any of the other lawsuits pending against him.
