Usher Maintains His Innocence Saying STD Accusers Have 'Unclean Hands'
A number of statements from Usher and his legal team have been exposed and "messy" doesn’t even describe half of it. As the pop singer continues to prep for his STD lawsuits, his team has introduced a new argument, and it may be a game changer.
As we all know, Usher is being accused of either infecting or exposing several women (and one man) to the herpes virus. While a number of alleged victims have given testimony illustrating a romantic night with the “OMG” singer, Usher is reportedly maintaining his innocence. In fact, he’s reportedly called his accusers “liars,” TMZ reports.
Additionally, Usher’s lawyers, Laura Wasser and Zia Modabber, are raising the interesting argument that three of his accusers have “unclean hands,” according to TMZ. That’s an unusual way to frame their case, but it essentially means the women have a history of foul play or naughty behavior. Unfortunately, the suit didn’t specify what may have caused their hands to be “unclean,” however. The recent argument joins Usher’s lengthy defense, which claims each of the accusers “assumed the risk” when they engaged in unprotected sex with the singer.
Usher isn’t the only one walking into the court room with ammo though. Quantasia Sharpton, the woman who alleged the singer exposed her to the virus, recently revealed that she has an alleged sex tape with Usher. So the peanut gallery will just have to see which case will hold up in court.
