Jacob Latimore On His New Album 'C3,' Juggling Acting With Music, And His Dream Day With Tupac
When Jacob Latimore isn’t serenading his fans with his vocals, you can catch the 23-year-old on screen as Emmett on The Chi. Hailed by Variety as his generation’s next breakout star, the Milwaukee native has quickly emerged as one of Hollywood’s most versatile entertainers.
Towards the end of 2020, Latimore snagged an additional credit on his rapidly expanding acting resume, perhaps his biggest yet. He landed the role of Harry in Like A Boss alongside comedic powerhouses Tiffany Haddish and Ross Byrne.
In May, the actor and R&B crooner dipped back into his music bag and independantly released the third and final installment of his Connection album series, C3. Despite juggling a demanding schedule, Latimore feels he has the best of both worlds.
“Music and film is Jacob Latimore. I don’t separate the work ethic between the two. I feel to be elite at both, it requires a serious amount of dedication,” he said.
Amid the release of his latest project, Latimore connected with his #TeamJacob from quarantine where he answered a handful of his fan’s questions BET Digital’s 106&Park Mic Check. The artist broke down what his dream day with Tupac would look like, why he’d rather be loved than feared, his favorite song from C3, and more.
