Drew Sidora Shares Lessons Learned After Broken Engagement
When Drew Sidora found herself pregnant and with a fiancé who decided he couldn’t marry her, she was as devastated as most women would be. How do you pick up the pieces after you’ve had the rug pulled out from under you in such spectacular fashion? In an interview with People, the 30-year-old The Game actress recalls the struggle it was to get over her 2011 breakup from record executive Ricky Brascom and the good things she discovered along the way.

“All of a sudden, we went from planning a wedding and him being excited to him being really distant,” she said about the breakup. “I didn’t know what was going on. One day, he just said, ‘I want to be single.’ I was, like, ‘What? We have a child on the way.'”
“How embarrassing. How hurtful. At that moment, I was, like, ‘If you don’t want me, I’m not going to push my way into something with you,’” Sidora said.
Turned out, Brascom had been arrested and later convicted of drug trafficking charges. The news shocked Sidora to the core and led her to question her judge of character.
“I had major trust issues, and I probably sabotaged a lot of potential relationships because of it,” she continued. “But when I delivered [my son Josiah], there was just this overwhelming joy. And if that is what I had to go through to get my son, it was so worth it.”
And two years later, it would be her son who would attract love back into her life. Sidora recalls meeting her now-husband Ralph Pittman after her son Josiah lost a football and he not only helped retrieve it, but he played with her son as well. The two were engaged in June 2014 and were married two months after that. Now, the actress is living her happily ever after with baby number two on his way this year!
