Jamie Foxx seems to be keeping his current acting plate full, diversified and very controversial. First it was announced he’ll be playing a runaway slave in the new Quentin Taratino movie Django Unchained, and now word is that Foxx might be taking on the role of real life drug king pin “Freeway” Rick Ross in an upcoming feature film biopic.

According to Drew Reports, not only did Ross post a picture on his Facebook page of he and Foxx arm-in-arm with a photo caption that reads, “You have to wonder did I just give him the script to read so we can discuss him playing Rick Ross?”

But the notorious drug dealer, who also secured Snoop Dogg to score the film’s soundtrack, was also quoted about locking down the Ray star to portray him in his biopic. And Ross, who popularized crack in the early 1980s, is adamant about the film being done on his own terms.

“I’m doing it independent, I turned down all the big wigs in Hollywood because I’m different from most people. I’m my own man I don’t really take orders...they told me I couldn’t do it the way I’m doing it right now," Ross told BoomBox. "They told me that Nick Cassavetes wouldn’t write it, that he wouldn’t direct it. [But] he wrote the script and he’s slated to direct it. And now I’m gonna get Jamie Foxx to play my role.”

After playing Drew 'Bundini' Brown in Ali, Tookie Williams in Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story and winning the Academy Award for Best Actor in the starring role as Ray Charles in Ray do you think Jamie has the chops to take on Freeway Ricky Ross?
