Oprah Winfrey and James Earl Jones Honored
The icons received honorary Academy awards this weekend.
The Academy Awards might have experienced a media hiccup last week when Eddie Murphy quit as its host, but they still found good reasons to celebrate this past weekend.
This past Saturday, the third Annual Governors Award honored Hollywood titans James Earl Jones and Oprah Winfrey.
Jones, who wasn’t in attendance, received an honorary Oscar and Winfrey was presented with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
Also in attendance was Mary J. Blige. The Hollywood Reporter says MJB paid tribute to the man who voices "Mustafa" in 1994’s The Lion King with a performance of the Oscar-winning track, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"
