Ayesha Curry Breaks Her Silence About Her Most Controversial Tweet
Ayesha Curry came under fire last month after she tweeted that the NBA was rigged, making her, once again, the center of another Twitter drama fest. Now, in an interview with People Food, she explained that she actually regretted the way she expressed how she felt at the time.
"I was just a fan in that moment so I didn't think about the ramifications," she said, "I regret the way that I voiced how hurt I was."
Since sending out the controversial tweet and even apologizing, Ayesha's received her fair share of backlash, most notably becoming the butt of countless memes and online jokes.
"Since all of this hoopla has happened, I have been a victim of reading the comments," she said. "It hurts my feelings because I didn't intend to hurt anybody."
Her husband, two-time MVP Steph Curry, has her back, though. "I know her intentions," he said. "I know where she was coming from... You're not going to win any battles on Twitter, so I tell her, 'Keep being you. Keep doing what you're doing. Don't worry about what people are going to say."
Despite all that's happened, don't expect her to take a back seat from social media anytime soon.
"I'm proud of my family and proud of the people around me," she said. "That's why I share our lives on social media."
