Cardi B On Offset's Proposal And More From The MTV VMA Red Carpet
The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards started out with a bang, as any award show would running Kendrick Lamar then Ed Sheeran bringing out Lil Uzi Vert. But before the main show began, the red carpet was pretty lit.
Perhaps making the biggest news was Cardi being asked by pre-show host Charlamagne Tha God about rumors on an engagement proposal by Migos' Offset.
“Do you see a ring on my ring finger?” she responded while showing off a ringless ring finger, then added. “I’m a woman, every woman I think wants to get married and have children... If you want to propose to me, you can.”
Well, that's not exactly a "yes, he proposed." The couple seemed to have gotten engaged last week after he reportedly proposed to her in private. Cardi seemed to confirm the news on Facebook, but hasn't given a straight indication if the engagement actually happened since.
National newcomer Khalid also performed to prep the main event. His soulful rendition of "Location," really got the crowd ready.
