A Broken Jaw Has Led to a Lawsuit for Drake
It was previously reported that Detail, who does a lot of production for YMCMB artists, was suing Drake after a business deal fell through.
According to TMZ, that deal didn’t just end in a verbal disagreement, it ended violently as the producer was physically assaulted by one of the Toronto rapper’s bodyguards after he refused a position as an in-house producer for him. Apparently, he was invited to Drizzy’s Calabasas, California, estate but was ambushed when trying to enter.
“I will beat all your a***s, including your b*****s,” the bodyguard allegedly told those walking up. “I don’t give a f**k. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?” At the time, Detail claimed it was Drake who set up the ambush, which left him with a broken jaw.
Now, it does look like the wheels are in motion to solve this manner as Anthony Katz, a PR representative for Detail, stated that the producer's insurance company is planning on taking action for the alleged incident. He also says that Detail and Drake are actually still collaborating to this day and seem to have no issue with one another currently outside of this.
Detail produced “Own It,” “305 to My City” and “Paris Morton Music 2″ from Drake's third album, Nothing Was The Same. In the past it looked as though everyone was getting along and nothing had happened, especially during the time of the incident, which took place in June 2014.
