The 15th Annual American Black Film Festival Opens in Miami
The 15th Annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) kicked off in Miami Beach on Wednesday. The extravaganza attracts Blacks from across the globe that are engaged in film creation, production and distribution, and presents full-length narratives, short films and those made for mobile devices. Join the crowd as it screens 2011 films, asks questions at master classes and network. Watch emerging makers of short films and documentaries test their visions in competitions. Also, check out the event schedule and view trailers from the festival.
The mission of the ABFF “is to inspire and support women and multicultural artists pursuing careers in film by providing scholarships and other educational resources,”says Jeff Friday, as co-founder of the festival. The other co-founders are advertising genius Byron E. Lewis and filmmaker Warrington Hudlin.
