Nancy Reagan’s Death Inspires Petition for Fetty Wap Funeral Performance
A Change.org petition was started to have the rapper perform for "the most famous Trap Queen in American history."
In a letter to the White House, an anonymous Change.org user, who goes by the name D D, started the petition “Have Fetty Wap Perform ‘Trap Queen’ at Nancy Reagan’s Funeral.”
Citing her “Say No to Drugs” campaign as the reason “Blacks and Latinos went to jail in droves for possessing drugs her husband gave them,” D D urged others to support the cause. “So, to commemorate her contribution to the Trap, we’d love to have Fetty Wap perform ‘Trap Queen’ at Nancy’s funeral,” D D wrote. The former first lady died at the age of 94 on Sunday and the petition was launched shortly after.
