Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry is still locked in a custody battle with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. It’s been months of court dates as the pair tries to figure out an arrangement for shared custody of their three-year-old daughter, Nahla. Things have gotten increasingly tenuous, and yesterday Halle opened up to Extra about how things are going.
“When there’s a child involved, it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. And our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know that a child needs both her parents,” she said. “But I think what I want to say about it is that sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse, and we need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place, because for her sake, this is the best way.”
But TMZ reports today that new issues have popped up, as Aubry is fighting to prevent Berry from taking the toddler with her when she travels for work. It looks as if they are still a ways from reaching an agreement.
