Big Sean on His Past Relationships: 'No Mistakes... Only Lessons'
The world witnessed Big Sean go through two high profile breakups — one with Naya Rivera and the other with Ariana Grande — within the span of year. Though some may be left scorned by such a situation, the "Blessed" rapper sees it all as a learning experience.
"It's no mistakes in life," he told Entertainment Tonight, "... only lessons."
Though both relationships failed, the MC said that things just organically sparked with both ladies. "They just happened," he said on the 2015 BET Awards red carpet. "That's all it is. I'm just... I'm just living it... It's no God, it's no script. You know, we just out here doing what we doin'. Feelin' it out."
The Cali rapper called off his engagement to Rivera, a former Glee actress, in April 2014 and began dating Grande a few months later. He eventually broke things off with the "Break Free" singer one year after his first split.
