Salt-N-Pepa Creating New Cooking Show
Talk about a genius play on words. Hip hop group Salt-N-Pepa is bringing new light to their famous name as they are currently developing a cooking show together.
Cheryl James and Sandra Denton of Salt-N-Pepa told People backstage at American Idol that the show will take a different approach than expected: "The camera would literally just follow us," they said. "We'd go on the road, go to these restaurants and sometimes end up in the kitchen with the chef. We want to know how it is all made."
James and Denton plan on making the new business venture a family affair, including their folks in the process: "We cook a lot at home. We are always having dinner parties," James said. "It is always one of our favorite things to do with our families, either at her [Denton's] house or my house, so it will really just be our lives and the fun we are having and the way we like to eat!"
No word yet as to what network the show will air on, as it is still in the early stages of development.
James and Denton reunited with their band-mate Deidra Roper (aka DJ Spinderella) in 2007 after breaking up in 2002.
