Kesha’s Lawyer Alleges Dr. Luke Raped Lady Gaga
The sexual assault and battery lawsuit that Kesha brought against Dr. Luke got even more complicated via social media this week.
Her attorney, Mark Geragos, insinuated that the producer not only victimized his client, but also Lady Gaga after hearing Gaga somewhat admit on The Howard Stern Show that she was raped by a producer 20 years her senior.
"I went through some horrific things," Gaga said this past Tuesday (Dec. 2). "I'm able to laugh now because I've gone through a lot of mental, physical and emotional therapy." But, she said for years, "... I wasn't even willing to admit that anything had even happened."
Geragos took to Twitter to weigh in. "Guess who the rapists was?" he posted. When one person responded "Lukasz" (Dr. Luke's government is Lukasz Gottwald), Geragos hit back with "#bingo."
Dr. Luke's team had a swift reply of their own: "Mark Geragos' statement is completely false and defamatory. Luke met Lady Gaga twice for less than half an hour total in those two meetings combined. He has never been alone with her and never touched her. Neither meeting was in that time frame reported."
Lady Gaga's team, too, denies the allegations. "This ridiculous, manufactured link between Lady Gaga and the Kesha-Dr. Luke lawsuit is utterly incomprehensible. This simply isn't true and how dare someone take advantage of such a sensitive matter."
Kesha claims that Dr. Luke drugged and raped her for years, beginning when he first signed her at age 18. He has filed a countersuit claiming that the "Tik Tok" singer fabricated the story to get out of her contract.
