Don't look now, but Ryan Lochte is in all-out damage control and image-makeover mode.

After being exposed as a liar for his partially fabricated gunpoint robbery story during the Rio Olympics, the American swimmer is offering to help one of his teammates that he left high and dry in Brazil.

Appearing on Good Morning America on Tuesday, in promotion for his upcoming participation on the network's Dancing With the Stars, Lochte offered to reimburse teammate James Feigen of $20,000-plus.

That was the amount that Feigen paid the Brazilian government for charity after the swimmers' fabricated account of being robbed at gunpoint in Rio unraveled before their very eyes.

Too little too late?

Lochte's gesture comes just over a week since footage surfaced which backed up Brazilian police's claims that Lochte and his USA Swimming teammates had vandalized a Rio gas station and that was the reason for armed security to draw guns on them — in opposition to Lochte's original claim that they were stopped in a cab and robbed at gunpoint.

Lochte, 32, has since apologized, lost at least four major endorsements and has been rung up on criminal charges of filing a false robbery report — something that could have him spend up to six months in jail.
