Beyoncé Performs 'Drunk in Love' at Global Citizen Festival
Beyoncé dominated the stage at Global Citizen Festival this afternoon in a manner similar to her Made in America performance. Though her songs and moves are familiar at this point, she still brought a little something new in the form of Ed Sheeran, reports Complex, who came out to perform "Drunk In Love" with her. Rather than dripping with grind-worthy sexuality like the original version, the duet is slowed down in a "join hands for civic duty" kind of way.
What's amazing about Beyoncé is that no matter how many times she's performed a routine, she still gives it her all. Queen Bey shared some behind-the-scenes flicks of the rehearsal for the performance, and her work ethic is inspiring. Peep the snaps here.
Other highlights of the festival include Michelle Obama introducing Bono, who then serenaded her with a few bars from Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire."
"What a First Lady," he said and then he quoted Nelson Mandela in reference to the causes of the day (food security, polio, foreign aid and education among them): "It is always impossible until it is done."
