The President and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted an early Hanukkah reception at the White House yesterday and wore the traditional color of the holiday for the occasion.
Mrs. O added shine to the Festival of Lights in a metallic blue dress with complementing strands of black layered pearls by Erickson Beamon. The president also went festive for the 500-guest celebration with an azure tie.
The first family has been lighting up the holidays for weeks now. On December 1 they held the 2011 National Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the White House where the first lady sang songs with the family and read stories in a Carr Ribbon Tweed Jacket by Tory Burch with an orange geometric print Duro Olowu scarf and a jeweled brooch for added sparkle.
