‘Harlem’: Meagan Good Reveals How An EGOT Winner Was A Safe Space For Her On Set
Meagan Good is taking her acting talents to the Big Apple as she stars in Harlem on Prime Video.
Starring as Camille, a 30-something Black woman caught up in life and love’s turmoil, in the new series. Along with her girlfriends, they explore the risks and rewards that come with dating in one of the greatest meccas of Black American culture, Harlem, New York City.
While the quirky and career-driven adjunct professor at Columbia University is trying to climb the ladder to higher education’s upper echelon, her best gal pals stand by her side as they all balance their aspirations, relationships and everything in between.
In a conversation with BET.com, Good shares how working alongside EGOT actress Whoopi Goldberg (Dr. Elise Pruitt) was a safe space.
“She’s really an amazing person and such a mentor,” Good said. “All doing it while being completely authentic in herself. It’s just really beautiful.”
Executive produced by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip), Harlem also stars Jerrie Johnson (Tye), Grace Byers (Quinn), Shoniqua Shandai (Angie), Tyler Lepley (Ian) and others.
Season 1 of Harlem is streaming in full on Prime Video.
