Box Office: Arnold Schwarznegger's Weak Comeback

Arnold Schwarzenegger's comeback didn't go quite as planned.
The former California governor, and star of this week's new entry The Last Stand, appears on screen for the first time since 2003's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines but barely managed to crack the top 10. The Last Stand opened with a weak $7.2 million and is expected to fizzle out of theaters by next weekend. Not good news for The Governator's post-political career.
Meanwhile, Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain is the week's big winner, with films in both first and second place. Mama, the Chastain-starring horror pic produced by Guillermo Del Toro, thundered into first place with a surprising $33 million in ticket sales while her Oscar-bound drama Zero Dark Thirty pulled in second place.
Of the other holdovers, Anthony Mackie's Gangster Squad finally got the better of Marlon Wayans' A Haunted House, coming in fourth to House's fifth place. Wayans' horror spoof embarrassed the prestige film last week by stealing first place.
Django Unchained continues its formidable box office run with an eighth place finish after four weeks in release, bringing its domestic total to nearly $140 million.
This Friday, the only new big release will be Jennifer Lopez's Parker, giving moviegoers time to catch up on their Oscar contenders before the big show.
