Diddy Makes His Return to Music with Mega Trailer For ‘The Love Album’
Entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is heading back into the booth. Following an extended hiatus from the music scene, the Harlem native has announced his fifth solo studio project, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” available next month.
The preview showcases a star-studded cast of musical talents, many of whom are presumed to have worked on the upcoming album, including Justin Bieber, the Weeknd, Teyana Taylor, French Montana, 21 Savage, Yung Miami, Swae Lee, Jozzy, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled, Austin Brown, and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
Diddy subtly alluded to the significance underlying the forthcoming project's title in an impassioned speech, stating, “We in the love era, that's the frequency that I'm asking y'all to be a part of.” The Bad Boy Records founder goes on to share, “I had to go off the grid in order to really lock in 'cause I was so addicted to my phone, so addicted to the work, so addicted to the bulls---."
“The Love Album: Off the Grid” marks the 53-year-old’s first studio album in 17 years and will serve as the follow-up to his 2006 project “Press Play,” which spawned the hit single “Last Night” featuring vocals by Keisha Cole.
The new project is set to hit streamers on September 15. Check out the massive trailer below.
