Chris Brown's probation sentence for assaulting Rihanna will be revoked if the L.A. County District Attorney gets her way. The D.A.'s filed legal docs to expunge the 24-year-old's punishment in the 2009 attack, all over an alleged hit-and-run two months ago.
The paperwork, obtained by TMZ, concludes that Brown "willfully and unlawfully" broke the law when he fled the scene of a minor fender bender near Los Angeles. Brown was charged with a hit-and-run last month. Although the "Fine China" singer was snapped speaking with Olga Gure-Kovalenko following the accident, she claims Brown gave false insurance documents and refused to hand over a driver's license.
Regardless of Gure-Kovalenko wanting the charges dropped, the L.A. City Attorney wants Brown punished for failing to abide by the restrictions of his probation. A court hearing is scheduled for this afternoon and could end with Brown being arrested immediately, although the D.A. won't ask that he be incarcerated.
Brown has always maintained that he did nothing wrong in handling the accident and made another plea via Twitter Monday (July 14). "I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run," the singer wrote. "I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!"
If convicted, Brown is looking at up to four years behind bars. His probation in the Rihanna assault ends next year.
