Big Sean and Ariana Grande Call It Quits
After just eight months of dating, fan-favorite love birds Big Sean and Ariana Grande have called it quits. Reps for both artists confirmed the news to Us Weekly, citing their "conflicting touring schedules" as the reason for their breakup.
"They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," their reps told the publication in a joint statement. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."
While the news may come as a surprise to both their fan bases, Us reports that the "Best Mistake" collaborators ended their relationship a few weeks ago. One source went on to further detail the split, revealing that their careers would keep them apart for long periods of time in the coming year. "They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year."
Grande, 21, and Sean, 27, first fueled speculation that they were an item during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, where they were seen holding hands backstage. They officially confirmed that they were a couple back in October 2014 and have been inseparable ever since.
Earlier this month, the "Control" rapper wrote a cryptic tweet, which may have indicated that they were indeed off: "Just know I love u and I care for ya," he wrote. The "Love Me Harder" singer subliminally responded early last Thursday, tweeting, "Love u babes the most. You just can't imagine."
