Back in October of this past year, actress Tika Sumpter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Ella-Loren, after keeping her pregnancy private explaining she wanted to experience the moment for herself and not for Hollywood.

The Southside With You actress also decided to follow in a similar fashion, choosing to keep the news that she is now engaged private. After enjoying the personal news and keeping it to herself for awhile, Sumpter has decided to publicly confirm she's soon to be a bride-to-be!

The new mom decided to break the news during an appearance on The Real, which is set to air this Monday (Jan. 23).

As revealed on the show, Sumpter couldn't hide the ring on her finger for long before being asked by Loni Love if she has some news to share.

"Yeah," Sumpter explained, not giving up a fight. "Yeah, I'm engaged!"

She also dished that the engagement took place on Christmas Day, revealing that her now-fiancé popped the question by hiding a handwritten letter behind their newborn.

"It was a letter of just beauty," the actress shared, saying that her man wanted to ask for her hand in marriage for quite some time now. "And then he proposed!"

While the rumors have yet to be officially confirmed, all signs point to her The Haves and Have Nots co-star, Nick James.
