Pointer Sister Arrested for Drugs
A long way from her glorious heyday, Bonnie Pointer, a founding member of the Grammy Award winning group The Pointer Sisters, was arrested early this morning in Los Angeles for felony possession of a controlled substance.
According to TMZ, taken into custody at 12:30 a.m. this morning and was released three hours later on $10,000 bail.
The 61 year-old sister, was one of two original Pointer sisters before the pair became a quartet. The blood related sisters, were responsible for the 70s and 80s hits "Slow Hand" and "Neutron Dance."
TMZ cameras also caught a seemingly intoxicated Bonnie partying in Los Angeles last weekend. In the vid she reveals that her sister Anita is battling cancer.
