Okay Hair!: Gabrielle Union Wore At Least 15 Different Hairstyles In New ‘Cheaper By The Dozen’ Movie

In an interview with BET.com, the actress and mother teased that we might be seeing new Shady Baby content from daughter Kaavia.

Gabrielle Union-Wade will star in the fresh take on the classic comedy, Cheaper by the Dozen and is leaning into her Blackness.

From jumping the broom on her wedding day to making sure her natural hair was wrapped with a silk scarf at night in the Kenya Barris-produced film, the award-winning actress spoke with BET.com to share what her experience was like behind the scenes as an executive producer on the film. Union-Wade also opened up on what it took to bring her character Zoey Baker to life.

“Every time she was on screen, I [was] like we have to do something different,” Union said speaking about the several natural hairstyles Baker wore on set. “We very rarely get to show all of the things that we do with our hair. All of the joys and wonders of having textured hair.”

Adding, “I wanted to make sure we represented natural hairstyles on screen and it not be a thing.”

Union also took a moment to speak about her daughter Kaavia James, who she shares with husband Dwyane Wade, and teased the upcoming plans the 3-year-old has for fans!
