A Georgia Judge Shuts Down Ne-Yo's Motion To Place His Estranged Wife In Contempt

The singer claimed in the motion that Crystal was costing him money– to the tune of $400,000.

Singer Ne-Yo’s legal request to find his estranged wife Crystal Renay Smith in contempt was shot down by a Georgia magistrate.

In their ongoing divorce battle, the judge ruled that Crystal, 36, hadn’t violated her court order, and that the former model could continue to post on social media. Ne-Yo’s attempt to mute his former lover after she aired out his alleged cheating ways, Radar Online reported.

BET.com reported in September that the “Let Me Love You” singer claimed in the motion that Crystal was costing him money–  to the tune of   $400,000.

​​“To date, [Ne-Yo] has loss approximately $400,000 in wages associated with public appearances, professional bookings, and promotional efforts related to the promotion of his new musical project,” the motion stated.

The alleged philanderer accused Crystal of attempting to damage his reputation by calling out his alleged affairs. She accused him of having a child outside of their marriage.

Since she filed for divorce in August, the mother of his children had been keeping busy living her best life on social.
