Sanaa Lathan's Family Drags Tiffany Haddish For Revealing She's The One #WhoBitBeyoncé
After what appeared to be months of speculation, Tiffany Haddish has come clean about Sanaa Lathan being the infamous Beyoncé biter.
During her explanation of the situation, this time around, however, she is touching on how the Love & Basketball actress' family reacted to her spilling the beans on the incident.
In her cover story with The Hollywood Reporter, the Girls Trip star revealed that Lathan's family was hurt that she exposed the actress' odd greeting to the world.
"I'm super good friends with her stepmom and her dad [Stan, a producer-director], and they were mad at me," she said. "They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, Black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?' But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name!"
She added that she was "just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down."
This all began when Haddish recalled in an interview with GQ that a famous actress bit the music superstar while having a too-close-for-comfort exchange with her husband, Jay-Z, back in December, 2017.
Lathan repeatedly denied the chatter that she was behind the bite both in a tweet and in an interview with Health magazine.
TMZ reported, back in March, that she was, actually, the culprit, adding more detail to the story.
"It was not an aggressive bite," they reported. "It was playful and noninvasive but still caught Beyoncé off guard."
